Computer Repair Services FAQs

Here are some of the most asked questions about our computer repair services. Feel free to give us a call if you cannot find the answer to any question you may have about our services.

Do I need an appointment?

Walk‑ins are usually welcome, but we recommend calling ahead or making an appointment to reduce wait times and ensure faster service.

What is your hourly rate?

Our current in-shop service hourly rate is $85. We offer expedited service for $120 per hour for customers whose situation may require expedient service.

What types of devices do you repair?

We work with desktops, laptops, and all major brands of Windows and macOS systems. We also handle custom‑built PCs and data recovery, and other computer-related services. We do not work on phones or tablets.

What computer issues can you fix?

Common services include:

  • Virus, malware, and spyware removal
  • New Windows 11 setup and file transfers
  • Slow computer fixes and optimization
  • Hardware replacement (hard drives, RAM, power supplies, screens, laptop keyboards)
  • Data recovery service and backup
  • Operating system installation and troubleshooting
  • Diagnostic testing for unknown problems

Do you offer free diagnostics?

We only offer free diagnostics with service. Otherwise, our diagnostic fee starts at $65. Diagnostics typically include hardware components testing, software checks, which can be quick or take as much time as some repairs.

How long does a typical repair take?

Most repairs take 1–3 business days. That time may vary depending on the issue, parts availability, and on-going projects. Complex hardware failures or special‑order components may take longer.

How much will my repair cost?

Costs vary based on the issue and required parts. After diagnostics, you’ll receive an estimate for approval before any work is done.

Do you use new or refurbished parts?

We use new, high‑quality replacement parts unless a customer specifically requests refurbished components to reduce repair costs.

Will I lose my data?

It is our top priority to preserve your data during repairs. If data may be at risk, we’ll discuss backup or recovery options before proceeding.

Do you offer onsite or remote support?

We only offer these services for established customers depending on availability and location.  However, hacked computers and hardware repairs usually require in‑shop service.

Do you offer warranties on repairs?

Most repairs include a warranty on both labor and parts. Warranty length varies depending on the service and components manufacturer’s warranty.

Can you help with custom PC builds or upgrades?

Yes. We can recommend compatible parts, assemble systems, and optimize performance for gaming, creative work, or general use.

What should I bring with my computer?

For desktops, bring the tower only unless the issue involves peripherals. For laptops, bring the charger. If you suspect a specific accessory is causing problems, bring that as well.
